The Retreat Center

Are you a Green Acres Baptist Church member who needs some time alone for Bible study and prayer? Family time? Family reunion? Sunday School fellowship?

The Retreat Center is the place for you, with two meeting rooms outfitted with a kitchen, restrooms and a group-sized outdoor grill.

There are also two cabins that sleep six each and a 16-room motel plus a dorm that sleeps 40 (20 per side). The pavilion and picnic area are also equipped with grills.

Come on out for a picnic, fishing or swimming or quiet time in the prayer gardens.

The GABC Retreat Center is not open to the general public. However, outside church groups are permitted to use the grounds and facilities for picnics, church services, lake baptisms or group retreats. Please call 903-525-1116 for availability and pricing.

Hours subject to change depending on season or special events, such as Summer Celebration or revivals. Retreat Center subject to close under severe weather conditions.

Two Meeting Rooms: Lodge & Conference Center

Lodge: Fireplace, kitchen, ice machine and bathroom facilities; holds 120 people comfortably

Conference Center: Kitchen and bathroom facilities; holds 40 people comfortably

Covered pavilion: seats 106 (maximum) with (6) 16 ft. tables and (1) 8 ft. table

Two cabins:

Lawhon Cabin (sleeps 6) 2 bedrooms with 1 queen, 2 sets of bunk beds;

Clem Cabin (sleeps 6) 2 bedrooms with 1 queen and 2 sets bunk beds.
